How We Got Started
Boyette Well & Septic, Inc was started in 1996 by John Boyette, Sr. and John Boyette, Jr.
The father and son team were farming tobacco, cotton, corn, and soybeans. When the reductions came in the tobacco allotments, they decided to look for another livelihood.
John Boyette, Jr graduated in 1989
from Wake Forest University with a degree in Economics. He worked with New York Life Insurance Company and Merrill-Lynch before entering the farming business. In 1996, he trained under another drilling company
and became the driller for his new company. He currently serves as president of the North Carolina Ground Water Association
and is a board member of the North Carolina Well Contractors Certification Commission. John is a certified well driller
and is certified by the International Ground Source Heat Pump Association (IGSHPA). John resides in Wilson County with his wife Candy and two daughters. His hobbies are biking, running, and swimming and has competed in several triathlons.

He is a recipient of the Dwight "Buster" Dellinger Honor Roll Award
from the North Carolina Groundwater Association when he served as Secretary.
John Boyette, Sr. graduated from Wake Forest College in 1959

He worked with his father in the farm equipment business and farmed until 2000, when he became active in Boyette Well & Septic, Inc He is certified by the NC Well Contractors Certification Commission, licensed by the NC Board of Examiners of Electrical Contractors, and licensed as a Septic Installer and Inspector. John resides in Wilson with his wife Dorothy, who serves as Secretary of the company.
